How hard is it to prove slander? My sister has been saying things about me to my family and children.?

Now my family won't talk to me. I wrote her a letter that she rewrote and added my family's names to it saying that I said terrible things about them, and told them that I wrote it. She has been telling my 18 year lies about me, which thankfully I could straighten out. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
