Confused about an ex and I want closure , please help?

My kinda ex boyfriend I used to be infatuated with but I kinda moved on cause he is *** and it took a long time to realize it. Since we have last been together I have moved on dated two guys and he found out cause we started talking again and I told him about it. He says he is still into me and that I have no idea how much he likes me and that any other guy I date will be rebound and he will always be number one. What is the deal here with him? Is he just jealous and trying to piss me off or does he want to get back with me?
